I think this infographic did a great job of capturing all the important reasons that teachers need P.L.N. I think this is a great practice and I will a for sure continue this in my own teaching journey!

- Find great resources, lesson plans, and conferences

Teachers learn from others and learn from others about what works and what doesn't. Havivng PLN's to collaborate and tlak about lessons or ideas benefits all teachers, but most importantly, it benefits all kids. When a teacher uses a lesson that works really well, other teachers can gain insight from that lesson and use the ideas to create their own modifitcations to make it work for what they need!

- Get support when needed

Teaching is a difficult job and we will all learn as we go. Never will we know the answer to every question or know the solution to every problem, but this is why it is important to have support from othes. If you have a good support system it will be easier to find those answers. Also, having a good support system will help teachers get out of the "teacher funk" that occurs sometimes. When things get difficult, it will be nice to have a group to fall back on and seek help when you need it.

- Learn the latest trends in education

It is very important to stay up to date on the information that the kdis are going through. This creates a stronger connection with your students as well as it allows you to create lessons that will be more appealing to the students and exctiting because it will be about current events and ideas that they care about.

Overall, having a PLN is a very good resource for all types of teachers. I also like that we introduced them in this course. I think it got us better thinking about what we were learning in class and it was also interesting to see the similar or different ideas that our classmates shared. This also allowed for extra ideas that we didn't have time to talk about in class to be shared. Overall, I think it went well in this course. We learned about it and dipped our toes in the water with using a PLN, but there is still so much more out there to do and learn.

Hey Kayla!

Throughout school, I loved the teachers who were connected through PLN because they would incorporate things a classroom from across the state did and that was so cool to me. I definitely could see how my teachers became way more updated in their teaching and honestly, it helped them connect with us as students more because they were on social media and saw things we see.
